Welcome to my fundraising page!
For the last several years I have been making regular blood donations to Canadian Blood Services, with my 16th donation coming this July. Given the restrictions on the frequency of blood donation, I can only give every 84 days. To me, that is just not enough! I want to do more! Blood donation is something I am passionate about so this year I am encouraging my supporters - all of you! - to donate blood at a donor clinic near you.
To encourage you to donate, on Canada Day I will be kicking off the inaugural Lindsay's Bike for Blood charity event!
I will be riding 153 km on my bike through the countryside for Canada’s 153rd birthday with the goal of getting 153 people to donate blood!
If you have been putting it off, waiting for a reason to donate blood – this is your reason!

If you are not eligible to donate blood and you would still like to support my ride, you can make a financial contribution right here on my participant page. By making a blood donation or a financial gift, you become an integral part of Canada’s Lifeline.
A Few of the Reasons Why I Donate:
- Every 60 seconds, someone in Canada needs blood
- It can take up to 50 units of blood (that’s 50 different people donating!) to save the victim of a car accident
- Leukemia patients need 8 units of blood per week
- An hour of my life could give someone the rest of theirs
Thank you so much for your support. Together, we are Canada’s Lifeline.
