Last year, we were so fortunate to be able to celebrate two huge milestones with Gregger before he lost his battle to cancer on December 22nd. Our family will always be grateful for those memories and the moments we shared.
None of those memories would have been possible without the strength, courage and pure stubborn grit that Gregger drew upon every single day of his fight. But at the end of the day, we know that what helped to keep him alive in his last months and what allowed him to walk me down the aisle in his last weeks are blood donations.
Most of you already know that I (Kate) was also lucky enough to share 27 amazing birthdays with my Dad - I like to think I was the best birthday gift he ever got! ;)
To celebrate what would have been his 64th birthday and what will be my 29th, this year I'm calling on friends and family near and far to give the gift of life. I would be absolutely honoured if you would all consider joining us on Thursday, February 14th, between 4pm-7pm at Canadian Blood Services, at Yonge/Bloor to donate. The decision to donate blood can save up to 3 lives, adding days, weeks and months onto people's lives like my Dad's and allowing them more time.

If you are unable to donate blood but would still like to help us celebrate, please consider bringing a guest who is able to donate or support the work of Canadian Blood Services by making a donation!
